Landy Vsop Cognac

Day 7. Friday. My first Cognac. Disclaimer: I'm not 100% sure if this truly is Landy VSOP. There may have been a botch with the example since what I'm tasting here is straight up whisky. This is no place near any cognac I at any point tasted this is to a greater extent a speyside scotch. So think about everything while taking other factors into consideration. Doesn't change how it tastes. The nose is grapes lemon nectar and flavors. Specificially caraway (not certain if that is the correct word I deciphered it with google since I never utilized it in english...the German word is Kmmel). Intriguing and the grape note makes me thing this is cognac yet then again.... Taste is okay however somewhat one dimensional. Nectar vanilla oats and once more grapes. That is the predominant note from nose to wrap up. So if this is the genuine article in the jug this is a fair substitute for a scotch. Not a generally excellent scotch yet at the same time. Agreeable to drink however I truly feel like I missed that cognac feeling" here. Gracious well...I have more cognac/liquor to sample....maybe there."
