About the brand

Decorated and distinguished, 1792 is more than just bourbon. Distilled by Barton 1792 Distillery, the brand is named after the year that Kentucky was formally announced as a state, personifying this history and heritage and bottling it with one of the most decadent and beautifully appointed bourbon whiskeys to ever come out of Kentucky. A cousin to the top-shelf Buffalo Trace varieties, 1792 is a decorated and widely renowned bourbon that possesses cult-like popularity amongst collectors and connoisseurs, most notably for its elegant and sensationally smooth 'Sweet Wheat' iteration. With a full collection that spans from a 12-year-old to a single-barrel and all things in between, if your collection doesn't include at least one of these coveted bottles, then most would say it isn't complete.

GIlbert Comfort Bazaar/Alcohol Express store pick from Gilbert Arizona. Fruity nose of banana rye bread spun sugar buttered corn and caramel green apple. Nose extends into the taste however with some additional butterscotch and cake icing. Splendid and bold. Medium length finish is cinnamon and white pepper with recognizable Kentucky Embrace. Completes only somewhat more sizzling than it ought to for the confirmation so just misses a 4.0 for me. This is the second 1792 item I have bought. Neither have been traditional whiskey flavors however there is something peculiarly engaging in them that I appreciate and anticipate attempting others in the line when in the state of mind for something else.

Nose

Chocolatey, with oak char, roasted coffee bean and banana foam sweeties, along with baking spice.

Taste

Creamy vanilla alongside a crack of black pepper, with prominent cinnamon spice, caramel and cooked orchard fruits.

Finish

Liquorice Allsorts, with spicy rye and vanilla oak.
