About the brand

A brand born and raised in Kentucky, Wild Turkey's name is a stamp of quality the world over. Distributing their bourbon through wholesalers in the early 1900s, the brand's name was conceived when one of their wholesalers took several warehouse samples on a wild turkey hunting trip where the bourbon was hugely popular. I would rate this 3.5/5. This is regularly a lower confirmation barrel quality whiskey. Great Wild Turkey taste. Truly simple consumer for a barrel verification. Another strong however unspectacular whiskey. At $39.99 for a barrel confirmation item it's a decent worth. In any case it is surely a stage down from Stagg Jr and ECBP or even Booker's

Tasting Notes

Nose

Buttery at first, before a big rush of clove and oak.

Taste

Heavy caramel and chocolate. A touch of smoke develops, it's almost a bit vegetal at points too.

Finish

Menthol, cut herbs, brown sugar and white pepper.
