The masters at GlenDronach Distillery have stayed true to their deep rooted heritage since 1826, careful to curate their casks of sherry soaked Oregon pine and finely tuned copper stills for the purest expression of their signature 21 year old Parliament Edition whiskey. The aroma lifts and glides with a delicate nose of the first twinges of autumn. Prickly bramble berries and blackberries collide with sweet dollops of jam. These combine with sublimely melted drips of milk chocolate over warm oatmeal paired with Orlorso sherry sugared preserves. Blooms of orange and smoke ride cinnamon shavings along with spicy nutmeg followed by a spiced introduction of strawberries. Un nez liquoreux et subtil qui tire sur du Sauternes bien g© ; du bois surtout un peu de natural product cuit. Une attaque un peu s¨che mais la rondeur show up vite en bouche de beaux ar'mes de vieux bois. Manque un peu de fraicheur plut't un whisky de dessert. La finale est d'abord assez plate puis se r©v¨le un peu sur la longueur ; c'est agr©able mais pas transcendant. Je lui pr©f¨re clairement le 18 ans.
