About the brand

The Early Times Whisky brand production started at Early Times Station, Kentucky. The Kentucky water surrounding the "Station" was used for making the whiskey. The water naturally filtered through limestone springs. Early Times was not popular until 1920 when Congress passed the Volstead Act and Prohibition began. The brand prospered due to its maker having a license to continue production for medicinal purposes. The Brown-Forman Company acquired the Early Times brand in 1923, and over the next 30 years made Early Times the best-selling whisky in the country. Today the brand is sold in over 40 countries. It ranks as one of the top four selling bourbons in the world, and in 2005 it became the top selling Kentucky whisky in Japan.

Too modest yet it's an astonishing value for-your-money flavor. Considering different bourbons in this value extend there's not an immense measure of liquor consume - simply average unsurprising whiskey flavor. It is anything but an especially vital measure yet perhaps that is not an inside and out horrendous thing. Only one out of every odd taste needs to cause you to contemplate the universe.

Smooth sipper. Great caramel pot corn smells. Sneaks up all of a sudden for being 80 Proof. They dont make this one any longer people. In the event that you see it get it!

Tasting Notes

Nose

smell of heavy char, strong wood with strong wood spice, moderate rye spice. Quite sweet, and also floral, with the scent of carnations. A very decent nose for a 40% ABV bourbon

Taste

everything in the nose translates onto the palate, though with less finesse and less definition. There is a lot of flavour for a 40% ABV bourbon here, including a lot of char flavour.

Finish

long, with lots of sweet wood flavours and char. Robust once again, but unrefined
