Tasting Notes

Nose

balanced, delicate. The initial nose begins with maize before a number of nutty aromas (walnut, almond, and hazelnut) come to the surface. With remarkable fullness and maturity, it gradually becomes increasingly honeyed, floral (bay leaf, lime blossom), spicy (black pepper), hot (Cayenne pepper) and mentholated.

Taste

lively yet balanced. The perfectly sculpted contours of the attack allow full expression of chocolate, praline, confit orange and red fruits (strawberry) notes. The mid-palate is delicately roasted (tobacco, coffee). The very open end of the palate is particularly exotic (mango, guava).

Finish

long, generous. With lots of emotion, the finish evokes grandmother's apple tart. At the same time, notes of new oak bring out its spicy character (ginger, clove). The retronasal olfaction is marked by vanilla/bourbon. The very heady (cowry, alfalfa) and autumnal (cashew) empty glass is empyreumatic.
