J.P. Wiser's Spiced Whisky Vanilla is an 86-proof Canadian whisky flavored with a touch of vanilla spice and caramel-colored. It's named after John Philip Wiser, who in 1857, began distilling whisky in Prescott, Ontario. At one point, it was the third largest distillery in Canada. NEW Wiser's Spiced is the latest edition to the Wiser's range. Wiser's Spiced combines the uncompromising taste of Wiser's whisky with a hint of spice. It is a great tasting, versatile whisky, perfect for mixing with cola or ginger ale. In the mid-1800s, J.P. Wiser, the founder of Wiser's Family of whiskies began the tradition of his Canadian whisky. Wiser's ambition for his distillery was simple - to produce the highest quality whisky "that pleases the nose, tongue, and eye". In the hands of J.P. Wiser, this process was one that could not be sacrificed by rushing. According to J.P. Wiser, "Quality is something you just can't rush. Horses should hurry, but whisky must take its time." Using only superior ingredients, he aged his whisky to distinction in premium white oak barrels. Over the years the tradition has been passed down, and even today, Wiser's whisky is the same whisky envisioned and developed by J.P. Wiser himself. It is still handmade using traditional methods to ensure that the final product still lives up to the standards set out by J.P. Wiser almost 150 years ago.…

This is something to appreciate when you need to take a stab at something not very genuine. Vanilla is in the name and it doesn't keep down. Pleasant tight zest on the lips with a not too bad completion. Simple to catch the vanilla on the button also. On the less expensive side however worth difficult as a beverage to polish off the night simple.

Caramel and maple nose with sweet vanilla zest follows yet lighter than I anticipated from name liquor a touch hot in finish which is the place this misses the mark from some different things I have had of late.
