With all of the Glenfarclas whiskies matured in two styles of oak, plain oak barrels which have previously contained Bourbon or Scotch Whisky, and Spanish oak which has previously contained Oloroso or Fino Sherry from Seville, the spirits are famous for a true depth of flavour. The Glenfarclas 40 Year Old Whisky presents the highest and most expensive end of the range for Glenfarclas. And is a 40 year old that still is pleasingly vibrant. Try not to concur that the more youthful ones are better. A dash of water and this is warm mind boggling and smooth. Unquestionably worth the cash. To my taste obviously better then the HP18 or Macallan 21 which get a higher score on this site
