Amate Reposado tequila is rested ("reposado") in oak for between 2 and 11 months prior to bottling, providing a slight color and flavor to the spirit. Distilled in small batches by Carlos Monsalve-Algraz and Juan Carlos Jimenez-Ahedo in traditional brick ovens, Tequila Azteca is then fermented and double-distilled before resting in American oak for 6 months. $1 of every bottle sold is donated to Children Mending Hearts organization.…

Nose

Light aroma of cooked sweet agave, vanilla, and a hint of light fruit.

Taste

The initial taste is cooked agave and vanilla. A combination of pure agave, oak, vanilla and spices with a medium-long finish of oak and chocolate being the most prominent.

Finish

A lovely long finish, that soothes the senses.
