First introduced in 1994, this blend was one of the oldest single barrel bourbons on the market on its release. Having gained a cult-like following of collectors, this whiskey is hard to get your hands on, with only a limited amount of barrels being released. Certainly has the age however it likewise removes a tad bit of the kick. I really lean toward the more youthful stuff. All things considered the barrel character is truly engaging.

Nose

Honey, cedar and a waft of Mint Imperials. Subtle orange notes appear before a wave of caramel arrives.

Taste

Blueberry pancakes with maple syrup, a smoky hint of charred oak leading into cinnamon and roasted hazelnut. Stewed apple and pear.

Finish

Milk chocolate, dusty wood, brown sugar and beeswax.
