Barrel Quality Laphroaig... that's all anyone needs to know! Not as smokey as the 10 however not really good or bad so mind boggling. The malt character natural product smoke and citrus notes are brilliantly adjusted. It's costly however wow what an extraordinary whisky

Tasting Notes

Nose

Roast chestnut and caramelised orange, heavy smoke with a medicinal core, a slight hint of black tea.

Taste

Plentiful peat juxtaposed with chewy toffee sweetness. Solid oak notes and a few touches of seaweed salinity.

Finish

Subtle ash and lasting smoke, joined by dates and oily walnuts.
