About the brand

FEW Spirits was founded in 2011 by Paul Hletko. The distillery is located outside of Chicago in Evanston,
Illinois. The name is taken from Frances Elizabeth Willard’s initials, an historical figure who made Evanston
the home of the Woman’s Christian Temperance Union. Ironically, Frances was a staunch supporter of
prohibition and was one of many who played part in ensuring Evanston remained a dry city beginning in
1855 and finally ending in 1972. The company currently produces four spirits - Bourbon Whiskey, Barrel Gin,
Rye Whiskey, and American Gin. FEW Bourbon is aged in small barrels ranging in size from 5 to 30 gallons.
The barrels are made from Minnesota oak which has a shorter growth season and tighter grain than other
types of oak.…

It poses a flavor like a normal yet subtler Gin because of the lower verification. The herbs dont truly pop like some different gins however the bergamot is perceptible and there was a smidgen of wheat on the end as well. This was somewhat more widely appealing than I foreseen.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Coriander, lemon balm and rice paper are the early risers here. Following them, the aromatic, inviting notes of brewing Earl Grey start to develop handsomely.

Taste

The elegant and refreshing qualities of Earl grey are well displayed here, alongside bergamot's unique citrus characteristics and fresh juniper. A touch of peppermint and violet fragrance on the mid-palate.

Finish

Lingering sweetness with a burst of cinnamon for good measure.
